February 10, 2009 — The Hong Kong ICT Awards 2008 has named Navicat as the Winner of the Award of the Year during the Hong Kong ICT Awards 2008 Gala Dinner last night at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center.
Navicat™ has swept the Hong Kong ICT Awards 2008, winning 3 Awards including Best Business (Product) Gold Award, Best Business Grand Award and is also the winner of the post most prestigious award, The Award of the Year.
The Hong Kong ICT Awards is a yearly event which recognizes, promotes and commends the excellent achievements to which Hong Kong ICT professionals and organizations contribute.
The Best Business Award Stream endorses innovative and original design effort by outstanding practitioners in the ICT Industry in Hong Kong, and to recognize the outstanding achievements in technological innovations, with judging criteria based on functionality, innovation, marketing performance, cost performance, research & development resources and societal impact.
Navicat™ for MySQL is named as Gold Winner of the Best Business (Product) Stream, and is also the Grand Award Winner in the Best Business Award category among other outstanding finalists. And, Navicat is as well crowned for The Award of the Year, which recognizes the most outstanding achievements of the products among the other 8 categories, from a total of over 300 entries.

Introduced in 2006, the Hong Kong ICT Awards aim to recognize and promote the outstanding achievements of local ICT professionals and organizations. The awards received 348 high quality entries this year, a similarly high level of participation to the previous two years.
